In the summer of 2023, I served as a Photography Intern with Appalachian Football Club, one of the most recognizable brands in American semi-professional soccer. Throughout the season, I captured match-day action, behind-the-scenes moments, and fan engagement, documenting both the competitive intensity of the players and the passion of the Boone community.

In addition to game coverage, I intentionally highlighted key brand elements, including the club’s iconic Sasquatch mascot, helping to reinforce the organization’s identity across digital platforms. Working in a fast-paced live-event environment strengthened my ability to anticipate decisive moments, adapt quickly, and deliver high-quality imagery under deadline.

This experience sharpened my technical sports photography skills while expanding my understanding of visual storytelling, branding, and the strategic role media plays in shaping a club’s image and connection with its audience.
